Having a physical disability doesn’t have to keep you from flying. 3000 feet above the ground, in an unpowered glider, the only sound you hear is the wind rushing by as you gaze down at Bucks County farms and glimpse downtown Philadelphia in the distance. With a professional glider pilots sitting behind you, gliding is an amazing experience that lets you leave the confines of a wheelchair and take to the skies!
Every summer the Philadelphia Glider Council works with Freedom’s Wings International to help people with physical disabilities take to the air and fly!
